AI adoption for companies that run on legacy systems

You have

Systems built decades ago that still run your business: a mainframe, COBOL, SAP ECC, Oracle Forms. Nobody wants to touch them.

You worry about

  • AI that breaks a system the business needs
  • Business rules that live only in old code
  • The people who know the system are leaving
  • Company data going to an outside AI service
  • A rewrite too big to start
  • AI pilots that never reach real work
  • No one in the company who owns AI

We give you

A partner who leads your AI adoption

A senior engineer who writes code, with engineers we trained

Step 1fixed scope and price

Studies one system and proves the idea on your data. The report is yours.

Step 2, if you continuemonthly

How it works

Your business runs on systems built many years ago. You want AI to work with them, but they cannot stop, and the risk is yours. We give you a partner who writes code and leads the work, with engineers we trained ourselves. Our senior partners spent 20+ years inside large companies, and we build products of our own at startup speed.

It starts with one step that has a fixed scope and price: a study of one department or system, a diagnostic of an old system, or a prototype on your own data. You get a written map of what AI can take over, in what order and at what return.

If you continue, the partner leads the work every month: the build with our engineers, a check of every release, and training for your people. We use AI at every step, with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and v0, and an engineer checks every result. The hours and the price are in our written offer before we start.

This is for you if

  • Your core systems are decades old, and the business cannot stop them for a rewrite.
  • The board wants AI on the roadmap, and the risk of getting it wrong is yours.
  • You need engineers who will read your code and work with your team.
  • You want a first step one person can sign, not a programme that needs a tender.
  • Nobody in the company owns AI yet, and you do not want to hire for it before you know what it will do.

Why companies with legacy systems work with us

We have worked inside large companies

Our senior partners spent 20+ years inside large companies, as project leads and CTOs, on budgets of millions and with teams of up to 50 engineers. They moved old systems to new ones and brought new tools into teams that did not want them.

We also build products fast

We build and run products of our own, such as ExoChat, our engine for AI assistants. Nine of our engineers built a subscription streaming platform in nine months: about 314,000 lines of code in 35+ repositories, built spec-first with AI tools.

We work at the front of AI

AI is part of every step of our work: requirements, prototypes, design, code, tests, review and documents. We know where AI is strong and where it makes mistakes, so an engineer checks every result. Our method is open: spex on GitHub

Our engineers grow with us

100+ developers in 20+ countries. They grow inside the partnership or come from teams we have already delivered with. We teach them our stack, how to work with AI, and our own methods, so we know what each engineer can take on.

35+ projects behind us

Fintech and payments, telecom and VoIP, logistics, business systems, social platforms with 10M+ users. Our team has worked with SAP since 2007.

The partner who leads writes code

The partner who leads your work writes code and takes a share of that project's profit. Nobody sits between you and the engineer.

Ways to start

Each first step has a fixed scope and a price we agree before we start. The report is yours, even if you stop there.

AI adoption study

One department or one system. We map which work AI can take over, in what order and at what return. You get an adoption map and a ranked plan.

Legacy system diagnostic

A map of what depends on what, the code nobody uses, the business rules taken out of the code, and what a migration would cost. A picture of the system that no longer depends on the people who remember it.

Prototype on your data

A working prototype on your real data, so the decision to build rests on facts, not on slides.

How a partner leads your AI adoption

Every month after the first step, if you continue. The hours and the price are in our written offer before we start.

In the order that pays off soonest and puts the least at risk.

With engineers we trained. What to build is written down first, AI writes the code against it, and engineers check the result.

First the basics, then your own tasks with us next to them. Your team runs what we built.

A written report every month

What changed, what is still open, and what we would do next.

Everything stays yours

The code, the written specifications and the documents are yours and keep working without us.

What we do not do

These rules keep your systems safe and keep the work yours.

We do not need your live systems to start

The study and the diagnostic work from copies, documents and interviews. The prototype runs on data you choose to share.

We do not keep your code or data

When the work ends, we delete our copy and ask you to remove our access.

We do not rewrite everything at once

We change one part at a time, so the systems your business runs on keep working.

We do not sell you a platform

You pay for the work, not for licences. The code and the documents are yours.

We do not stop at advice

The partner who studies your systems can also build what the study finds, and writes code.

We do not make you depend on us

We train your people, and everything we build is written down. Your team can run it without us.

Work we can show

Projects from our portfolio that are closest to large companies with old systems. Client names stay private.

  • We took over a running logistics CRM/ERP from its previous developers and moved it with zero downtime. Logistics CRM/ERP
  • For banks we built a system that digitizes and stores scanned documents. Document storage
  • We built an AI voice assistant for a VoIP provider: it handles sales and support calls, notices pauses and switches to the caller's language. Voice assistant
  • We moved a dating service's search and recommendations from Ruby on Rails to Go so it could carry more users. Search on Go
  • Our team has worked with SAP since 2007: business processes and BI on SAP for telecom operators, retailers and banks.

Questions before you book

Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, before we see anything. You can send yours or use ours.
Who will I sign the contract with?
With one of the companies in our group. We have several, and we choose the one that suits you best. We work in English.
Who owns the code?
You do.
How soon can you start?
Usually the next working day after we agree, and within a week at the latest.
Where are you?
We are a partnership of 100+ developers in 20+ countries. We work with clients in the US and Europe.
Can the AI models run inside our infrastructure?
Yes. Open-weight models can run in your cloud or on your own servers. We have run them in production next to hosted AI services.
Is the first step free?
No. It is real work by senior engineers, with a fixed scope and price. The 30-minute call before it is free, and on it we tell you honestly whether you need it.

Talk to the partner who would lead it

A 30-minute call about your systems, without a sales presentation. Tell us what runs your business and what you want from AI. After the call, you will know which first step makes sense, or that none does yet.
